Senator Cornyn calls torture allegations against Haspel false

Texas Senator John Cornyn tells reporters at a weekly briefing that the Senate Intelligence Committee would vote out Gina Haspel to the full Senate to be CIA director, hours after she wrote to Senator Warner she did not believe the CIA should never restart an interrogation program she was falsely accused of participating in, having learned about it a year after members of Congress like Nancy and Pelosi were briefed in detail after 9/11, that predecessor John Brennan held a higher post at the agency while Haspel was the equivalent of a GS 15 and not a management person. Cornyn says Democrats were running out of excuses to block the highly qualified nominee.
