Senator Cornyn wants background check bill after Parkland mass shooting

Texas Senator John Cornyn tells reporters at a weekly briefing that all were stunned by a mass shooting in Parkland, Florida incident at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, and others that prompted him to what legislation that could change the outcome, a bill called the Fix NICS bill that would improve the background check system although each shooting has different aspects including the failure of law enforcement, mental health and people circumventing existing law. Cornyn agrees to look for a bipartisan bill to get started.
