BELLAGIO, ITALY - MAY 03: The renovation at the former Hotel Grande Bretagne on May 03, 2024 in Bellagio, Italy. After 30 years after the closure of the Grande Bretagne Hotel, an agreement between the American Marriott International and Grimit Srl has been officially signed. The former Hotel Grande Bretagne in Bellagio will be renovated and reopened in 2026 as the Ritz-Carlton Bellagio Hotel. The historic property first opened in 1850 as the Belle Époque Hotel Grande Bretagne. In 1932 the Folies du Lac Casino was inaugurated inside the Grande Bretagne in Bellagio and a few years later an international hotel school opened which in a few years became one of the most sought-after and prestigious ones in Europe.
