The Fred Hartman Bridge spans the Houston Ship Channel, Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, in Houston. A group of infrastructure experts met Wednesday at the Port of Houston Authority for a round table discussion on both water and land freight transportation. The discussion was part of the American Association of Port Authorities' Seaport Influencer Roundtable and Media Tour series, and it was followed with a tour of the Port of Houston. Media and industry experts received a ship channel tour from a Houston Pilots' boat and then a bus tour of the Bayport Container Terminal and logistics company Katoen Natie's plastic resin packaging complex.
