She would like to find Schoff's relatives so she can return the college ring he gave to her. It will be 50 years ago this November, when a young Marine lieutenant named Leo Whitey Schoff was killed in Vietnam. Among those who were devastated was his fiancee, Mary Barcus at that time , of Greenbelt, Md. The had met at Steubenville College and he had given her his college ring. After his funeral, her parents wanted to help ease her pain, removed most vestiges of his life from their house. But a half century later, she still has the ring.
