In a statement issued by the club they strongly denied weekend reports that Bassett and Adams are to be axed as a result of City's disastrous Barclaycard Premiership campaign. And the club today insisted that the duo, who replaced Peter Taylor in October, have a part to play if the Foxes slip into Division One. The club is almost certain to be relegated after collecting only three wins this season and they are currently 12 points adrift of safety after a run of 13 matches without a victory.
