Traces of turtle eggs on the beach, these have already hatched or were eaten by birds at Ostional Beach, Costa Rica. Ostional Wildlife Refuge protects a large estuary, mangrove forest and tropical dry forest. This is an area that protects the spawning of various species of marine turtles in the Pacific Ocean, particularly the olive ridley turtle. It also houses species of marine invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, mammals and birds.
